Owner Christi Sandvik was one of the first to raise the fashion bar on Main Street when she set up her stylish boutique three years ago.The spacious corner store feels like a contemporary incarnation of the "dress shop," and Sandvik chooses styles that span age ranges — mothers and daughters can easily shop here side by side. Known for her fabulous collection of frocks, Sandvik has repeat customers who need dresses for all occasions, be it a swanky cocktail party, outdoor wedding or art auction. Dresses run around $225 to $360 and she carries only two or three in each style — "So you don't see yourself coming and going." She carries pretty, feminine lines from Trina Turk, Nanette Lepore and Diane von Furstenberg, plus a well-edited selection of shoes and handbags to complete the outfit.

Along with dresses, you'll find casual and sexy tops, some denim and a small selection of lingerie. Get on the mailing list to find out about sales, and sign up on the "Wish List" to be notified when a new shipment of your favorite designer arrives. And, to accommodate customers who want to dress their men in stylish clothes, Sandvik is adding lines such as the weekend-casual James Perse Men in July.
