Ella Mon, the Ballard boutique that carries classic and sophisticated lines for women over 35, is turning one this weekend. To honor the milestone, everything in the store is 25 percent off from Saturday, Oct. 25 through Monday, Oct. 27, and there will be mingling, snacks and libations to celebrate as well.

Join Laura, Otis and the Laura Bee Design team on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 5 to 9 p.m., for an anniversary party and trunk show where they will present the Glam for Good collection, a special one-of-a-kind line of bags using vintage fabrics. A percentage of the sales from the Glam for Good bags will go to Northwest Harvest, Pasado's Safe Haven and MercyCorps.

On Oct. 23, a group of local wedding vendors will host Get Hitched, Give Hope, a wedding show that marries the promotion of small business owners to Seattle-area brides and grooms with the idea of giving back to the community. The show takes place at 6 p.m., at the Dome Room of Downtown's new Arctic Club Hotel.
