Meet Kimberley Newport-Mimran, the fashionable designer behind the coveted Pink Tartan collection, whose fans includes the likes of Kate Hudson and "Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall. Newport-Mimran will be in town Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Downtown Nordstrom (Individualist department), and will be available to answer questions and help you select pieces of her collection for your own wardrobe.

A shopping space called the Melrose Triangle is set to open mid-November in an historic building on a triangular block behind Machiavelli Italian restaurant on Melrose Avenue between Pike and Pine streets.
