up-and-coming
and established designers from the Pacific Northwest, the second annual
EcoLavish Fashion Show hits the runway on Oct. 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. at
the Engine Room in
Georgetown. where everything from the venue and refreshments to the
makeup and,
of course, the fashions have been selected because of their
eco-friendly
nature.
The show's creator, Courtney Russell, launched the event to show that
eco-conscious fashions can be stylish, high-quality garments that work
well in any wardrobe.

The film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," doesn't premiere until Nov. 20, but fans can soon begin showing their excitement by sporting some new fashion, jewelry and beauty lines inspired by the tale. The new collection from Nordstrom is now available online at http://www.nordstrom.com/ and will appear in stores beginning Oct. 15.

Meet Kimberley Newport-Mimran, the fashionable designer behind the coveted Pink Tartan collection, whose fans includes the likes of Kate Hudson and "Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall. Newport-Mimran will be in town Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Downtown Nordstrom (Individualist department), and will be available to answer questions and help you select pieces of her collection for your own wardrobe.

So I cleared a little space in my closet and explored the city to find this season's most fabulous takes on this fashion staple.
