It's a shopping site featuring independent artists selling handmade wares from jewelry and clothing to original, custom artwork. Buyer, beware though - there are so many fun, funky, unique items at Etsy, you might become addicted.

Seattle's Phinney Ridge is getting a new pet store and it's aptly named after the owner's two dogs, Zak and Zoe. Billed as "a modern dog mercantile," Zak and Zoe's grand opening is this weekend and store proprietor Nadja Chorba Wiese is pulling out all the stops with a slew of local authors, artists, photographers and trainers to share their expertise in this dog eat dog world.

I suppose you can't really call a cat scratching post "fashion," but Seattle-based Marmalade certainly creates products that are aesthetically pleasing. Not only that; they're also eco-friendly. For those reasons, Marmalade has been chosen "by a panel of judges" to participate in Pet Fashion Week, August 23-24 in New York City.
