Anyone who has ever organized a baby shower knows that it can be a daunting task. There's the location, the food and the games to think about, not to mention the cleanup afterwards. As happier as you may be to throw your pregnant friend a bash, sometimes it's nice to have a little help doing it. Krista Means, owner of Georgia Blu children's boutique in West Seattle, is happy to offer that help.

All the recent girl talk about the "Sex and the City" movie has resulted in my own little obsession with shoe-shopping -- and the pedicures that naturally come with it. And while I can't afford a pair of Jimmy Choos, I can afford a pedicure, even if it's just to show off a new pair of flip-flops.

Perhaps the word exquisite is overused, but it perfectly describes the

There is a group on Facebook called "I Don't Care How Comfortable Crocs Are, You Look Like A Dumbass." There are 863,583 members. This hurts my feelings a little, because I am an avid Croc wearer, as is my husband and my little girl. They're perfect for gardening and for slipping on to run to the store. In late January 2000, Pacific Northwest magazine profiled
lifelong Georgetown resident Jon Dove, that year's grand-prize winner
of the Arboretum Foundation's Pacific Northwest Garden contest. The
garden of his towering 1905 home was resplendent with lush foliage,
prolific roses and an onion-dome-shaped privet. Now Dove and more than 20 of his neighbors are busily sprucing up their gardens for the 13th annual Georgetown Art and Garden Walk, which takes place Sunday, July 13.
