Should you grow weary of the crowds at Bumbershoot this Labor Day weekend -- and grow weary of them you almost certainly will -- you might consider walking across Fifth to the Funhouse, that delightful punk rock dive bar with the (expletive) terrifying clown head leering over its front door.

They're holding a three-day benefit for the skater-supported Marginal Way Skate Park, replete with everything you'd expect of such a social occasion: live skating demos on a custom-built ramp, and skull-splitting live music by Skelator, Grindline, Neutralboy, Down We Go, The Fakies and a bunch more.

The music begins at 9:30 on Saturday and Sunday, and will cost you six measly bucks. The skating is free and goes on all day. And the Bumbershoot crowds, intimidated by the clown head, will stay on their side of the street.
