Nana's baked-potato soup will snuff out the sniffles

December 26, 2007

Baked Potato soup from Nana's Soup House

Lara Ferroni

Baked-potato soup from Nana's Soup House.

Got the sniffles? A big bowl of homemade soup from Nana's Soup House near University Village may not be your grandmother's supersecret chicken noodle cure-all, but it will certainly warm you up when you're feeling a bit worn down. We love the hearty vegetarian baked-potato soup, thick with cream and chunks of potato, but with none of that pesky broth to get in the way. A few steamy bites of the velvety potage, and colds just seem to melt away -- at least long enough to get through the rest of the day.

What do you crave? Which local restaurant makes the soup that drives you to distraction? Post a comment below and tell us about it.
