Forums

Welcome to the Sodo forum

Hey, thanks for stopping by the NWsource forum, where the folks are friendly, the conversation is lively and the drinks are cheap. Oops, sorry, wrong place.

Nonetheless, just like a good local watering hole, this forum is a good spot to meet other Seattleites, share ideas and opinions, recommend or defend your favorites and generally hold forth about whatever's on your mind.

There's no bouncer around here, and we don't require shoes or shirt to enter, but there are a couple of rules: One, don't be mean. Two, don't post ads. We've got Classifieds for that. If you have any questions about what's OK and what isn't, check out our Terms of Service.

We'll drop in occasionally to see how you're doing, and if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We'll do whatever we can to help. Cheers!

Trains blow their horns all day long
over and over and over. All night too!
Ear piercing, migrane prompting, anxiety producing, productivity reducing, PERMANANTLY
damaging our ears.........for what?
To protect a possible idiot who can't
figure out what the crossing gates and flashing lights are all about!?

"Quiet Zones" ARE possible. These are areas that have a more thought out road crossing which prevents cheaters from driving or walking around the gates.
There are several Quiet Zones in this country.
Seattle has taken on a new "green" image
Noise is pollution too!
Do they call it the Sounder Train because of the sound?
Life could be so much nicer for so many if
we could just stop the unnessesarily loud and frequent horn blasts.
Does anybody agree or am I going deaf alone?
What?
