Qube

Qube restaurant closed in July 2008.

This year's winner in the French food category is ... Asian. Qube, a high-concept downtown newcomer in 2006, focuses on the cuisines of Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and India, and binds them all together with French cooking techniques. The result is dishes like the Yellowfin Tuna Nigiri with Foie Gras Creme Fraiche, Mirin Soy Caramel and Nori Powder, or the Tamarind and Lime Creme Brulee. Chef Joseph Conrad also aims for local, seasonal ingredients -- making sure we're getting the best of all worlds.
