John McDowell has plenty of dad's day ideas for you. (It's June 18, in case you've forgotten.) The owner of Oslo's A Men's Store on Queen Anne has a store stocked full of his favorite lines for guys from casual to dressy, accessories, and even a barber's chair for cuts and a traditional hot shave. He's also provided an easy buying guide, whatever your pop's style may be. Here are a few of his suggestions:

  • Snazzy dad: Give him vintage silver and gold cufflinks just like those your grandfather wore. Jonathan Wachtel, a New Orleans native, scours antique stores across the South to find these pieces of the past – from the 1900s to the 1930s. ($100 set.)
  •

  • Well groomed dad: Treat dad to a traditional hot, straight-edge shave ($30) or join in with a father/son haircut ($50). Grooming services at Oslo's are available Friday through Sunday. Gift cards are available at the store or by phone.
  •

  • Lounging dad: Start with a James Perse white terry bathrobe lined with soft jersey knit for lounging. Pair with pajama pants and shaving supplies from the Art of Shaving or Truefitt and Hill. (Robe $195, pajama pants $55.)
  •

  • Patio daddio: Outfit him in retro short sleeve knits by MacHay ($205) or camp shirts in fun patterns by Tommy Bahama and Saltaire ($98 - $120). They're perfect for outdoor patio socials.
  •

  • Golf dad: Rosasen knits, sweaters and shorts in great colors and patterns will brighten dad's golf game (knits $72-$88, golf shorts $84-$96).
  •

  • Poker dad: Kowboys, a line of tees from Los Angeles ($55) featuring poker playing themes, are great bets for card-playing dads.
  •

  • Plaid dad: Nothing says summer like plaid madras shirts paired with shorts, especially the button-down shirts ($105) and patchwork shorts ($100) from Gant.
  •

  • Hippie dad: Gypsy 05 offers far-out waffle weave and jersey tees ($100-$160) with embellishments, embroidery and tie dyed fabric.
  •

  • Stylin' dad: Stewart Stand has crafted stainless steel wallets in four styles ($100). The wallets are woven from high tech industrial fabric that is the width of a piece of paper.
  •

  • Environmental dad: Loomstate offers 100 percent organic cotton T's and jeans ($55-$198).
  •

  • Denim dad: Oslo's has ten brands of premium denim in a variety of fits and washes including Indigo Palms, Agave, AG, Seven for All Mankind, Chip and Pepper, John Varvatosê USA, Brown Label, Union, Loomstate, Earnest Sewn and Stitches ($88 - $300).
  •

  • Unconventional dad: Lindland Cordarounds has created the very groovy Summeround pant in horizontal seersucker fabric ($95).
  •

  • Traveling dad: Smooth leather duffle bags, briefcases and messenger bags in rich brown, olive, and black leather from Rafé ($375 - $595) are perfect for the dad on the go.
  •

  • Sports dad: T's and track jackets ($55 -$120) from Moonlight Graham feature a variety of Major League Baseball teams and their stadiums for the dad who wants to be taken out to the ballgame on Father's Day.
  •

  • Dress up dad: For the dapper dad, nothing looks finer than a pair of flat front Theory pants in quality fabrics and their luxe stretch dress shirts in eggplant, lavender, persimmon, and navy ($165 - $225), worn under a Theory sportcoat ($295 - $395).
  •

  • Traditional dad: There's always the Lacoste alligator shirt ($72).
