If your fall wardrobe needs a boost, or your holiday shopping an early start, mark your calendar for the Oct. 20 Northwest Accessory Designers show. Local designers of jewelry and handbags will showcase their fall and holiday collections at Pioneer Square boutique Violette.

Jewelry designers Linda Danforth, Leilani Jensen and Maria Carter will showcase their sometimes earthy, sometimes delicate handcrafted earrings, rings and necklaces, and Seattle handbag maven Crystalyn Kae will present her newest collection of vintage-inspired bags, which feature new fabric and color combinations. Our favorite is the Soirée Drawstring ($198), a slick, glaze-coated fabric bag that features a peek of vintage designs through inverted pleats.

The highlight of the show will likely be the supremely chic Flora and Fawn enamel jewelry from designer Angela Muhlnickel. Delicate enamel birds, in pretty shades like robin's egg blue, perch atop thin gold chains and discs, making for lovely earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

The show takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Violette owner Beth Nielsen, a fierce supporter of local designers and a designer herself, will be on hand to serve champagne, tea sandwiches and cupcakes.

Violette is at 212 First Ave. S; 206-652-8991. Visit the boutique online at violetteboutique.blogspot.com.
