Women in their 30s on up can "add a little dress-up to
their casual wear" at new Madison
Valley shop Vian Hunter. Inspired by
the timeless and classic silhouettes of the 1950s and '60s, designer Lisa Hunter derives her fashion inspiration from icons such as Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.
She scours vintage clothing sales for garments from that era, which she then
reworks into updated, contemporary clothing with a retro flair.

hunters who love a little sparkle, it's the Goodwill Glitter Sale. Shoppers
have been seen lining up as early as 2 a.m. for first dibs on designer and

I think it's safe to say that the fall of 2009 is shaping up
to be the season of the boot. No rules apply. Recently I've seen women wearing
short and tall boots of every heel height despite the fashion forecast calling
for ankle boots. Retailers are following suit, stocking their shops with a
nice variety, following both form and function.

While shops in this area are committed to supporting new
smaller designers with less name recognition, many have begun to introduce (or
reintroduce) classic lines to their inventory. Well-known heritage brands such as Minnetonka Moccasins, Saint
James and Tretorn, which have been around for more than 50 to 100 years, portray a
sense of quality and staying power that shoppers are responding to these days.
