Looking for a special ring for your special day? Check out local jewelry designer Jamie Joseph's distinctive wedding collection. These rings are for brides and grooms who want to say "I do" with unique wedding bands that go beyond commercial options.
Joseph started the line after numerous requests for wedding rings. As is the case with her other jewelry, she's inspired by the textures and shapes in nature: rivers, rocks, flowers, stars, and planets. She designed the rings with the intent that they be mixed, matched, and stacked to reflect individual's personal style. "Right now my favorite is the Live Edge Band with diamonds, Sand Band, and Starlight ring stacked," says Joseph.
The hand-crafted rings come in yellow, white, or rose gold in 14K and 18K, as well as platinum. Styles are both organic and contemporary, and range from refined and delicate, to rugged and earthy. No boring bands here—they're textured, brushed, or asymmetrically-edged and feature solitaire or multiple diamonds from diminutive melees to 1 1/2 carats. (You can choose the diamond size for solitaire rings.) Joseph uses rose and old mine diamond cuts (for definitions, see Antique Jewelry Online) in her glittery rings.
Prices range from $250 to $5,000. Available at Essenza, Twist, and online at Ped.
If you're not tying the knot, check out Joseph's other rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Many feature her hand-faceted, show-stopping gemstones in simple but striking settings. It's been said (and I can prove it) that once you own a piece of Joseph's jewelry, you'll become a collector. It's hard not to--the stones are simply mesmerizing, and Joseph is constantly coming out with something new that you'll swear you can't live without.
