Lamb’s Ear Shoes
Fremont meets SoHo at this chic, new boutique

Lamb's ears are those fuzzy, old-fashioned silvery, gray-green plants with leaves that look like, well, a lamb's ear. This popular plant inspired the name of Angie Sorensen's new shoe and accessory boutique.
Unlike the soft, fuzzy plant, this subterranean shop is sleekly modern, something that you'd find in SoHo rather than your grandmother's garden. You'll find Lamb's Ear Shoes in Fremont, next to Deluxe Junk and adjacent to the trendy Impulse boutique. The shop's unembellished architecture by Society Co.'s principal Jason Faulkner features angular references from the entirety of the compact space to the poplar wood benches for trying on your shoe selection. Simple black shelves and gray concrete floors starkly contrast the textured concrete walls, painted a bright white. It's the perfect backdrop to focus on the artistic display of chic shoes and larger-than-life leather bags.
For all the shop's sleek austerity, Sorensen exudes a warm and welcoming enthusiasm. This is the kind of store you go to for an experience — and a special shoe selection. You'll find attractive woven leather flats from Corso Como ($115), summery Devotte sandals ($251), and butter-soft Loeffler Randall wedge-heeled, leather boots come in white, beige and black ($649). For spring, nothing screams sexy louder than the Marcello Toshi sandals in charcoal leather and red suede, complete with seductive ankle strap ($352). The delicious Anna Corinna "It" bags are $363-$550, but they look like a million bucks. Lamb's Ear Shoes also carries a small but diverse selection of locally designed Kimberly Baker Jewelry.
Stop by often as new spring merchandise is slowly making an appearance. Watch for a French line of jewels by Poupette, Chie Mihara shoes, Loeffler Randall bags and belts and Linda Farrow Vintage sunglasses.
