Delicious Planet delivers organic, gourmet meals to your door

If your idea of a romantic Valentine's Day evening involves music, candle light and gourmet cuisine, you're probably thinking "expensive restaurant," right? There's always Canlis, of course, but how about your own dining room?
OK, so you can't cook. Delicious Planet, a local organic meal delivery service, is one company that can make you look like Rachael Ray or Wolfgang Puck, if only for an evening. Here's how it works: Call in your order (most selections range from $12.50 to $24.95, with a $4.95 delivery fee and a $40 minimum order), or place it online, and voila, dinner for two (or lunch or breakfast-in-bed) is delivered to your doorstep in an airtight cooler. All entrees come fully cooked – just heat and serve.
It's a delicious solution not only for those who are challenged in the kitchen, but also for time-starved parents like myself. (Who has time to "whip up" a home-cooked Valentine's Day dinner with a colicky infant in her arms?)
Check out Delicious Planet's extensive organic menu prepared by the company's new head chef, John Payne, former sous chef at The Herbfarm – I've got my eye on the Coriander-Crusted Mahi Mahi and Wild King Salmon With Tomatillo Sauce – and you're likely to find something perfect to woo your valentine. You may even score points for "cooking" such a fantastic meal. Just be sure to dispose of the evidence.
