The official rules for NWsource's H&M gift-card giveaway

1. No Internet access necessary to play.  The NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 is only open to Washington State residents and contestants must be 21 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible. This contest is void where prohibited by law.

2. Employees and immediate family members (dependents under IRS rules), affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies of The Seattle Times Company and all sponsors associated with the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 are not eligible.  This NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 is governed by the laws of the United States and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

3. Three winners will be selected by random drawing on August 8, 2008 at 12PM.  Prize drawing will be conducted at The Seattle Times Company, 1120 John Street, Seattle, WA 98109.  Each winner will receive a $50 gift card to H&M (value $50 each).  Prizes must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions. Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Winners must respond to a congratulations email within 48 hours and provide a means to receive the prizes by mail or at The Seattle Times at 1120 John Street, Seattle, WA 98109.  Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Winners must provide a means to pick up the package by mail or at The Seattle Times at 1120 John Street, Seattle, WA 98109.

4. Enter by submitting your photo of your favorite item purchased from any H&M store along with a short description of the photo to NWsource.com via e-mail to seattleshopping@nwsource.com.  Or, submit your photo and short description via mail with a 3x5 card to NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008, 1120 John St., Seattle, WA  98109. The card must have your full proper name, full mailing address, age, birth date, phone, e-mail address (if you have one) and authorization that you are 21 years of age or older with a signature for entering your name into the random drawing for tickets. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All entries must be postmarked by Wednesday, August 6, 2008 for the drawing held on August 8, 2008. All late entries will be disqualified.

5. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Prize packages will be mailed within 6 - 8 weeks. Entrants agree to release The Seattle Times Company, all of its programs and sponsors associated with the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 from any and all liability resulting from participation in the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008.  Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release The Seattle Times Company and all of its programs officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.

6. Only one entry per person, please. Additional entries from one person will result in disqualification of that additional entry. 

7. Winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and liabilities associated with each prize. The Seattle Times Company and all of its programs and all sponsors associated with the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 reserve the right to require any forms for eligibility release of liability, prize acceptance and/or tax purposes within 14 days of notification. Noncompliance within 14 days may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.  NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 commissioners at The Seattle Times Company, which are final on all matters pertaining to the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008.

8. The Seattle Times Company is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected e-mail or mail or any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur.  If for any reason the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 is not capable of completion as planned, the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 can be canceled, terminated, modified or suspended at any time for any reason by the aforementioned Sponsor.

9. Entrants agree to release The Seattle Times Company and all of its programs and all sponsors associated with the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 from any and all liability resulting from participation in the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 or use of any prize won. Entrants further consent to release to the aforementioned companies the use of each winner's proper name, city, and state for purposes of advertising online and in print or any other media or trade in connection with the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008 without further compensation. The aforementioned companies further reserve the right to use any and all information related to the NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

10. This contest is sponsored by The Seattle Times Company, PO Box 70, Seattle, WA 98111.  For a list of winners after August 8, 2008, mail a separate, self-addressed envelope to: The Seattle Times Company, NWsource H&M Giveaway 2008, 1120 John St., Seattle, WA 98109.
