I have a pair of quad roller
skates, Riedell's model number R3. They're big and they're heavy and when I put
them on I feel as if I've strapped a Camaro to each foot. I love my Riedells,
but you may roll a different way.
K2's Eco inline skates sport a unique bamboo frame and are made with a host of natural and recyclable materials, making them a fashionable and environmentally friendly choice for when you join the eight-wheeled traffic circling Green Lake.

One cool idea for a hot
planet (as in climate change) involves riding a bike, which cuts emissions, saves
money and produces buff calves. But first, you need the bike and second, you
need one you can afford. Bike

Wearing your bicycle helmet might be the law, but it can also be a fashion disaster. Not anymore, thanks to Michael Morrow, the founder of Portland-based Nutcase Helmets. When "World's Largest Running Store" Road Runner Sports
came to town a few years ago, I ignored the store entirely, continuing to buy my shoes and gear
from one of the local shops. Last week, though, a friend who is the fitness director at Seattle Athletic Club suggested I check out Road Runner in Greenlake. He said I would find
both fit experts and a selection every bit as good as the local shops.

The benefits of yoga are well documented -- better flexibility and
balance, a sense of calm and well-being, stronger, leaner limbs. But
for those of us who are not perfectly proportioned, the struggle to
find well-fitting yoga gear can be more difficult than a backbend --
and can make yoga's rewards seem out of reach.

A random sample taken from men who practice yoga revealed where they get their yoga wear: Goodwill -- or their sweats-and-worn-T's-filled bottom drawer. OK, I actually only asked two guys in my yoga class. But after observing men in improvised yoga wear for years during my own practice, I'm pretty sure my survey results are accurate.
