We can only assume that Illi owner Janelle Lancaster was so inspired by Tim Gunn (http://www.bravotv.com/Project_Runway/bio/heidi_and_tim/Tim_Gunn)’s recent visit to Seattle that she felt compelled to craft a metrosexual-friendly fashion event just for the boys. (The “Project Runway” style guru was in town promoting his book, “Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style.”)

Local clothing designer Kim McCormick offers ready-to-wear pieces under her label Kimmi, but also creates one-of-a-kind and custom designs in new and vintage fabric. Her skirts, dresses and tops all have one thing in common – excellent fit. "My grandmother taught me to sew," says McCormick, who started designing full time last October.
